Inside The Mind of Mark Foley

The mind of Mark Foley has been a nasty place — nonetheless WSVU-AM 960 North Palm Beach is inviting its listeners “Inside the Mind” of the former US Congressman described by his own attorney as “a gay alcoholic who had been sexually abused as an altar boy in Lake Worth, Florida.”  Foley was the Republican representing the 16th District of Florida for 11 years before he was forced to resign in 2006 following exposure of lurid IMs exchanged with young male Capitol Hill pages.  As a congressman he was particularly active in legislation against pornography and sexual offenders.

Foley has begun taping  a series that “explores the inner workings of Washington,” as if you’d really want to go there either.  The first show airs on September 22.  Wikipedia notes that “as of 2007 [Foley] was in a relationship with a Palm Beach dermatologist, Layne Nisenbaum.”
